In a narrow sense, it designates the world outside Earth—and more broadly, what is external to the body one inhabits. Humanity has long yearned to travel to the Displaced Outside and to interface and interact with it, a special ability attainable only through extended training. Fantasies enabling travels to the Displaced Outside can be classified into visual and auditory fantasies.
